I took the standard tour a few weeks ago. I did not get access to the club house.But you do get to sit in the dugout. And you get to take the same path all the players take to get to the dugout. Coolest thing is I got to sit on the same chair Doc sits during games. I sat there and stared at the beautiful field. I highly recommend the tour.

I’m generally opposed to a salary cap, but it would almost be worth instituting one just to see the subsequent existential meltdowns from people crying over the Dodgers continuing to be good and top prospects continuing to want to come to LA. Presumably the goal posts will shift from ‘It’s unfair to offer your players lucrative salaries’ to ‘It’s unfair to offer your players expensive facilities to work, train, live, and play in.’

Players association won’t go for cap. And cheap owners will fight a floor as you said.IMHO, what’s more likely is a harsher luxury tax like the “second apron” (IDK why they call it an apron) in NBA. It’s brutal enough that teams rarely exceed it, unless they want to mortgage their future for short term gain.
For some reason, the economics of baseball allow teams to essentially ignore the luxury tax. IDKY. It was just 2019 I believe that the Dodgers were shedding payroll in order to avoid the 3rd consecutive year above luxury tax. Now they don’t seem to care.
