シーズン序盤に選手を酷使する理由はない。勝てれば良かったのは当然だけど、デーブはより大きな視点で見ている。レギュラーシーズンは、本当に重要な時にどのブルペンの腕を信頼できるかを見極めるためのものだ。ドライヤーやキャスパーのような選手がこういう場面で何ができるかを見るのは重要だよ。
There’s no reason to wear guys out early in the year. Obviously it would’ve been nice to win, but Dave is looking at the bigger picture. The regular season is for figuring out which bullpen arms you can trust when it actually matters, it’s important to see what guys like Dreyer and Casparius can do in these spots

People need to understand a few things and apply some critical thinking.
The dodgers are going to test to see what pitchers deserve to be used in higher stakes games. They don’t care if they lose a regular season game.
Jack was always going to face three batters minimum. No pitcher was warm to come in to face springer and the next batter was a lefty. That was jacks situation to work out of and he didn’t.
Bummer of a loss for Shohei of all things but you move on to the next game and celebrate a 5-1 roadtrip.
