Pages was my first Dodgers jersey purchase of 2026. As for Merrill, he had the better rookie campaign in 2024, but Pages has been pretty much objectively better since then and the numbers for 2026 aren’t even close. Both are obviously talented, but give me MVPages any day.

I don’t get it either. They chose to keep Kim and Espinal and send down Freeland and now they are saying he “earned” more playing time? I don’t really get the hype, but hopefully he will look better this time around. He didn’t look great until the very last series in Houston. What we really need is an Espinal-type player now. Probably too late to get him back. We don’t have that super utility-type player right now. Kim, Rojas, and Freeland are redundant because they all play the same 1-2 positions.
