I’ve been saying all along - this is going to be a competitive team that will be fun to watch.

Glad more people are starting to see this and enjoying the ride so far.

They are better than even I expected. They grind - they don’t give up any at bats - they hustle - they play defense with some abandon - they put pressure on opponents and force mistakes…

And - perhaps most importantly - they don’t fold. They didn’t fold after a 1-5 start - or after getting swept by Baltimore right after it looked like they were putting it together against Toronto. They don’t fold when they are behind all game - or when they blow a lead. They bounced back to win two series on the road after losing the second game. They don’t quit. They seem to believe in themselves and each other.

There is a lot of good, young talent on this team - and a lot more coming soon.

If the bullpen can be straightened out - they could even find themselves in the race.

For the first time in a long time I tune in with high expectations every day.
