もっと最悪な状況だってあり得たんだ。0勝2敗になっていたら今の会話もまったく違ったものになっていただろう。うちには決して屈しないチームがある。もちろん打線はもっと奮起する必要があるけど、このチームは追い詰められた時にこそ真価を発揮するんだ。
It could be way worse. We could’ve been down 0-2 and then this conversation would be a lot different. We have a team that doesn’t back down. Of course the offense needs to do better but this team plays well with their backs against the wall.

I wish people can stop with all the doom. The only team Game 2 was basically a must win was for Atlanta..not the Dodgers. People act like Game 3 and 4 are therefore automatic wins for the Braves just cause they are playing at home now.

Their manager made a huge gamble throwing a bullpen game again and that gamble paid off massively — it’s now a three game series mostly on their turf with their two top starters going. Yes we have Yoshi which is huge but hitting consistency especially with RISP is our achilles heel that pops up at the worst times. Not a great position to be in against their ace but maybe that unnecessary L gets them locked in and motivated. I dunno I’m grasping at straws a bit obviously.

Was Snell tipping again yesterday? He has had this issue before with fastball vs changeup. And was this a key factor in the game? I thought he mostly struggled to find strike zone rather than giving up hits.

Fully agree, he sneaky actually gave us enough to win with the bullpen effort we got (shouts out to Diaz and Roki). Leaving runners stranded in scoring position like that is why they lost, full stop.

I actually think it’s incredible that he only left us in a 1-0 hole with how terrible his command was. But this was 100% the issue, he couldn’t throw strikes. The Braves didn’t have too much of a chance to beat him up because he didn’t throw anything they could hit 😂 As bad as Snell was and as bad as it was for him to turn the game essentially into a bullpen game for us, the pitchers did enough for us to win yesterday.

Last night was disappointing for sure, but in a weird way, its almost optimism-inspiring that the score actually reflected a closer game than what it felt like watching it. Like, it was a 3-2 game even though nothing really seemed to be working. It wasn’t a definitive ass-kicking, like NLDS game 2 against the Padres in 2024. Just need to win 1 of 2 in Atlanta to bring it back home. Bullpen was solid. Snell was totally off and only gave up 1 run. The biggest thing was that freaking triple that didn’t need to be a triple. I guess this is why it was SO frustrating - lots of chances to come ahead. Hopefully they can make the necessary adjustments, but this series is very winnable.

Our pitching has been great this series, even Snell in an objectively bad outing held them to 1 run. It’s the bats, and the little things that we normally do well. Mookie not tagging up/stealing 3rd on the Will Smith AB felt like a turning point as Freddie would’ve had a sac fly. Those were the little things we did in 24 and 25 to win us titles. In the Playoffs little details matter and the difference ended up being a 2 out triple and a wild pitch. Other than that these two pitching staffs have been DEALING, so runs will be at a premium the rest of the series.
