Frankly, with the state that his shoulder is in, he may need to select for (velocity/ride/movement) and then work on commanding that initially before he can work on the rest, these recent starts might be the result of him or the coaching staff getting a clearer picture on what needs to be attended to first and then he can sort of build back out from there as his physiology starts to become more stable. Wouldn’t want him to get injured at this point right as he’s heating up while everyone else is seemingly down.

Yeah, when it comes to the velo, there is one slight anomaly in that Giants game. He was certainly throwing harder in that game, and yet it didn’t change his movement very much at all, even with the extra spin (as slight as it might be.)
Perhaps he was starting to feel the pressure of Glasnow (who did just get moved to the IL) and Snell coming back that it was time to start ‘proving’ himself and trying to go for it? Idk.
(確かに球速に関しては、ジャイアンツ戦で少し異変があったね。あの試合では明らかに速い球を投げていたけど、回転数が増えた（わずかなものだけど）割には、変化量はほとんど変わらなかったんだ。
おそらくグラスノーがIL入りして、スネルが復帰してくるというプレッシャーを感じて、「自分を証明しなきゃ」と力んでしまったのかもね？どうだろう。)

The harder splitter and slider (being able to throw for strikes) makes his fastball play better. But his shape means it will never be a plus pitch unless it sits at triple digits which doesn’t seem likely. His Fastball is basically the opposite of Vesia who throws low 90s but it’s a plus pitch because of the IVB (carry) which fools the batters perception of what the ball is doing. Long term he can still be a good to even great pitcher if he can command all the pitches and improve the arsenal keeping hitters off balance
I wouldn’t be surprised if next off season he adds a sinker which seems functionally possible with his current mechanics.

These are great graphics. Is your ‘average’ vline coded properly? It looks like it’s at the mean of the Angels curve, not an average of all the games.

I’d also like to take this moment to express my frustration with MS Office’s Online version, lol. On the application, you can delete individual entries from the legend (but still have the line show up in the chart).
Online it was just not allowing that whatsoever. More irritating to me than it should be, lol
(ついでに言わせてもらうと、MS Officeのオンライン版には本当にイライラさせられたよ（笑）。デスクトップアプリなら凡例から個別の項目を削除してもグラフに線は残せるのに、オンライン版だとそれが全くできないんだ。必要以上にイライラしてしまったよ（笑）)
