Last year the Padres ended up losing a key bullpen piece and a starter like just before the post-season. Also a few relievers are lost to free agency after this season. My guess is Preller wants good pieces with some control time. No idea what he’ll deal out to get that, though. If we trade Salas, I’m gonna lose my fucking mind.

He might need back surgery Gomes said. His velo was also down his last outing. He’s been shut down indefinitely. Not sure we will see him again this year, let alone at all.
