It kinda makes sense, HRs prevent stolen bases so they can’t happen together. He only has so many ABs per game and dos get out about 2/3 of the time

I got a Willie Davis autograph at a Dodgers autograph day once. It was on my glove right next to Kenny Landreaux. Poor guys had to occupy space on the glove of such a poor little league outfielder.

That is awesome. So I got his autograph in like 02 or 03, and I would have been 7 or 8 so I had no idea who Kenny was. My Dad explained to me that he caught the last out of the World Series and I proceeded to bring my glove to school and brag all about Kenny’s signature to everyone like he was my favorite player ever lol.Lol that same day I got a trivia question right about Don Newcombe that a bunch of adults missed, and I remember my Dad being surprised and proud of me. That day is one of my core memories.

I just realized the time-era difference Ohtani and Kirk Gibson is same as that of Gibson and Duke Snider. And I remember Gibson like yesterday.
