Sorry if I was a bit obtuse. And this is actually a new idea, I only heard about it in the week of the Dodgers teeing off on a St. Louis Cardinals pitcher. Apparently some teams have a guy on the staff who is just there to burn innings, and unlike long relievers of the past, it doesn’t matter how many runs they allow. It’s entirely possible I’m misapplying this new idea. But if the Dodgers score a lot of runs tonight… Maybe there’s something to it
