I really cross my fingers and hope Kim succeeds at the plate. I really want him to do well, but it’s out of everyone’s hands but his. He looks over-matched at times.
I wonder if there’s a wink-wink deal when Friedman signs players from the Pacific Rim. Like, “Hey, we want you to succeed with us and won’t trade you during your contract, but we will send you to our minor leagues to work on adjustments if necessary.”
Even though he was well-rested, sending out Casparius for a second inning of work turned out to be a downfall. Klein couldn’t put out the fires but did do better starting a clean inning.
