So last year Roki embarrassed himself essentially every time he went out there (sans October) This year, he’s showing a ton of potential. The lack of command is holding him back from legit good, but you see the flashes.
Despite the results, after today’s start, I’m actually as high on roki as I’ve ever been. His ability to generate whiffs today is something we really haven’t seen at all in his major league career
That said, having him make starts at the big league level isn’t sustainable right now. His inability to manage his pitch count and give meaningful innings is going to catch up with the bullpen and have wear them down as the season goes on
