The challenge with this currently is finding a photo of Tucker in a Dodger uniform with a Creative Commons license. Quick search hasn’t yielded anything usable. If someone on this sub has a photo they took themselves from a recent game, that would work too.

MLB can’t revoke the title, the best we can do historically is give them an asterisk and remind people. In the bigger picture, it would be better to just have banned the players like they did in 1919 scandal instead of a fine and immunity bs. It’s “just a baseball”game but its stolen valor and maybe someday in the future they will have a history book with Cubs win 2016 , No Winners in 2017, Red Sox in 2018.

They want to associate him with cheaters for some reason even though him wearing the uniform has nothing to do with that 2017 team. It’s so lame. Be mad at the actual people who cheated and not a whole ass different group of people who had nothing to do with it. Astros now are not the 2017 team but god saying that to other Dodger fans is asking for a tantrum.

Yes and no. There was evidence to suggest the Astros sign stealing scandal was part of an organization-wide philosophy to do whatever it takes to win, going far up inside the organization. A lot of coaches and front office personnel remained after the investigation in 2020. I obviously don’t know exactly who and who wasn’t involved on and off the field, but as long as Jim Crane owns the team I hope nothing but the worst for them - and I think that’s fair.

To that one guy bitching about us hating the Astros, if you weren’t a fan in 2017 then you can STFU and shove your worthless opinion where the sun don’t shine. Although the 2022 Astros had nothing to do with the cheating scandal, save for Altuve, fans who experienced 2017 find it difficult to move on, because ultimately, the same fans who dismissed 2017 are part of those celebrating that championship.

That’s totally fine that it’s our time. The point is he was an Astro at one point and he wasn’t on the cheating team. Why even associate that with him? It’s lame.

I take no issue to him being on the team, but I, for one, would prefer not to see that hat for reasons of principle (I don’t surf wiki, so this really doesn’t matter to me, but I’d like to explain the viewpoint):Houston has a tainted team, is the point. In ‘20, when the investigation was conducted and they admitted that they cheated, there were two fairly big points not addressed. 1. They never apologized for what they did, just merely said we should all move past this, and 2. The league didn’t vacate the ‘17 ship. #1 will exclude the single players from many’s recognition in the sport, and #2 will exclude the entire team. For an organization to stand behind the degree to which they broke the rules and refuse the undeniable fact that it cost players on other teams money and legacy is unfortunate, to say the least. I personally had $500 on the Dodgers pre-season that lost me $4 grand. Vegas obviously didn’t reimburse me, so maybe my salt is a little saltier, but the part that makes me actually pissed is that the team and its fans actually embraced their “effort”. Watching a kid tell a reporter, “if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying” is completely disgraceful. Teaching kids through a kids’ game that cheating is worth it. That will continually mar that logo for me. I couldn’t care less if a single other person is on my side with this - the TrAshtros don’t exist and I won’t watch them play.
All that said, I leave each of them and the team itself the ability to at least forgive them and once again recognize them - but it’s on them to correct those two issues I will forever have (I didn’t watch their most recent championship because who knows what that organization was willing to do to win it).
Maybe none of this is your viewpoint, but it does exist in some of us.

The 2017 Astros can’t hurt you anymore, man. Accept what’s happened and move on. The dudes who are on the Astros now (other than you know whos) have nothing to do with any of the cheating scandal. It’s quite pathetic to keep hating a team that isn’t even the same anymore. We have a difference of opinion and that’s okay.
