My guess is it’s just baseball and the chances of not scoring with risp are over 60% if not more lol. The non hits in those situations just hurt more so leave a longer lasting impression than the usual missed .250 chance of a hit.

Somehow the fucking game still finds a way to disappoint me further because Muncy’s probably out of the season now with how that HBP ended up looking. I’d be elated to be proven wrong.

The clutch situations for Muncy to hit, their scouting and other teams seem to be spot on, paint/sweep the opposite corner and he will reach for it.. just the right pitches in clutch spots that happened to be Muncy’s. So when he comes back and rehabs they need to work on making them pay for that.

Then… an injury causing HBP that also led to nothing. Hate that.

Just brutal but the pen with no big leverage arm used held as did Wrobo after the first inning disaster.

Win the series starting tomorrow.
