去年、佐々木は（10月を除いて）登板するたびに恥をかいていた。今年はものすごいポテンシャルを見せている。制球難が彼を一流の投手になることから遠ざけているけど、片鱗は見せている。
結果はともかく、今日の登板を見て、これまでで一番佐々木に期待している。今日見せた空振りを奪う能力は、メジャーキャリアで全く見たことがなかったものだ。
とはいえ、今の状態でメジャーの先発を任せるのは持続可能じゃない。球数を管理できず、長いイニングを投げられないことは、シーズンが進むにつれてブルペンを疲弊させ、ツケが回ってくるだろう

So last year Roki embarrassed himself essentially every time he went out there (sans October) This year, he’s showing a ton of potential. The lack of command is holding him back from legit good, but you see the flashes.
Despite the results, after today’s start, I’m actually as high on roki as I’ve ever been. His ability to generate whiffs today is something we really haven’t seen at all in his major league career
That said, having him make starts at the big league level isn’t sustainable right now. His inability to manage his pitch count and give meaningful innings is going to catch up with the bullpen and have wear them down as the season goes on
