Roki has better pure stuff (when he’s right), but his command is significantly worse. Wrobleski is more a pitcher right now while Roki is still more of a thrower working towards that goal. There’s more intent with wrobo.

Wrobo’s style of constantly attacking the zone and getting away with a lot of soft contact (or even not so soft contact) works well with the Dodgers because of their elite - ELITE - defense. I think in any other team he’d still be good, of course, but not this good. Just an excellent fit for the team and he’s been absolutely killing it this season.

Yeah, FIP for the season is mid 3’s. Still very good but not necessarily elite. His velo increased towards the end of May, and the results have been great. He’s striking way more guys out while maintaining a low walk rate. I think from a dodger perspective that he’s provided more value than the era would indicate because he has been so good at going deep into games. It has balanced out the inconsistency from emmet and Roki
